China: Climbing Behind The Wall
2.15pm Sunday 19 october, Scarpa Room
When most of us think of climbing in China our minds eye drifts to images of endless mist shrouded, jungle crowned towers of immaculate limestone standing watch over lazily flowing rivers and ancient towns. But theres much more to China than clipping bolts and eating noodles.
Join Duncan Brown as he takes you on a walk through the climbing landscape of The Middle Kingdom: from the quintessential limestone we all know of, to the red sandstone splitter cracks of western Yunnan, and from the remote alpine regions of Tibet, Sichuan and Xinjiang, to the coastal granite boulders of Qingdao and everything in between.
Duncan is also running a home training workshop on Friday 17 October at 9.15am.
