A climbing life for nearly 20 years, Chris has managed to spend much of it exploring big mountains and looking for big boulders.
He is an avid developer of new climbs around the Canberra region with over 100 first ascents. In 1998 Chris went to explore new big wall routes in the Ak-Su Valley in Kyrgyzstan which started the zeal for climbing new routes. He has since gone on to climb throughout the Himalaya with expeditions to Cho Oyu, Everest, Gasherbrum I, K2, Broad Peak and Amotsang.
Recently Chris completed a new route on Thor Peak on Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic where he and fellow Australian climbers, Nathan Kukathas and Chris Fitzgerald spend 14 days on the tallest vertical wall in the world. From the summit the three then paraglided back down.
